When Longevity proclaimed “this here’s a Hip-Hop anthem” on the 2011 single ‘Tantrum‘, he wasn’t making hollow statements. Along with DJ Peyote Cody, the tracks monolithic bass line and break beat instantly conjured up the thick air of your favourite basement venue, and quickly became something I happily ranted about to everyone (also due to its inclusion of shamisen). Now the Darkleaf mic-bruiser is back with another audio-visual collaboration, again backed by Peyote. ‘Frustrated’ remains within the same raw, emotive sphere in theme, but slows the tempo just a little bit.
