Over his 20-year career DJ Shadow has been an iconic staple in the Los Angeles hiphop scene, making smoothed out experimental hiphop beats for heads to definitely nod to. He’s an innovative artist that continues to redefine music through experimenting through ambient styles of beats as well as sampling. From his 1996 release of Endtroducing…, to his 2011 release of The Less You Know, The Better DJ Shadow has continue to challenge the artistic ways of today’s beatmaking.
In September he released his latest album called Reconstructed: The Best Of DJ Shadow. The album contains two disks of his work from Endtroducing… to The Less You Know, The Better; even some of his work from his pre-Mo Wax days are included on the album. Some of the tracks on his Best Of album have extended mixes, like the one down below (from Endtroducing…).
