Roll up, and hear the wonderful beats of Lyle Horowitz for one night only… well… They’ll last a little longer than that. But Horowitz puts out a very nice, satisfying batch of beats for your audible enjoyment. I think it’s just pure samples, so straight drum breaks, soul cuts, you know the works. So dusty you can almost hear the vinyl. It would have been nice to hear more variation and development in the track but Horowitz has a nice ear for sure. Lyle’s been featured many times on Word Is Bond, and you can check them all here.

One Night Only is a collection of instrumentals that I recorded live by chopping samples in Virtual DJ and triggering them via AKAI MPK. Although the majority of my beats were produced in Logic, FL Studio & Pro Tools, I’ve developed a new-found appreciation for hardware and the human element of creating music.
