Alright, I wanted to wait until his mixtape dropped until I unleashed this dude on you all but it’s two weeks overdue now so it’s starting to get a little unfair. After planning to drop it early July Young Marqus went back to record some new stuff for it and put out this video of the mixtape’s title track, Respect Me, as a sweetener until it does. It’s hard to believe the fella’s only 11 and I suppose until he’s cemented a career after a few years there will always be suspicions about whether he writes his lyrics or not but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. I dunno how someone so young can be so good. Without wanting to be patronising he acts well beyond his age.
