ChinkyEyed LA & Duck Down Music are both providing this special evening of entertainment to provide you the live streaming of Pete Rock & Smif-N-Wessun’s Monumental album, which is scheduled for release on June 28th. I know that this event will be two days later, but for those who arent planning on getting it on that day will have a chance to listen to it on the night of the event. And if you want to listen to the snippets, then check Gim’s site!

Second, the other event is called ‘Battles On Broadway’ (alt. flyer), which will consist of two competitions: emcees and beats. The emcee competition, which has a $300 cash prize, will be hosted by Kap Kallous; the beat battle (which has 14 producers/$100 cash + prizes) will be hosted by I Suppose.

Umm.. is there also a b-boy competition going down there also?
