Another night w/a dope evening is among us in Los Angeles/Santa Monica area, brought to you by Joshua Silverstein. On her She Said… Tour, Spoken Word Artist Ursula Rucker will be stopping by Zanzibar to perform, right along side Sy Smith, Mark De Clive-Lowe, and Open Mike Eagle! It will be a huge event that will be going down in Santa Monica this Wednesday night! So, be prepared… Zanzibar will be hot once you enter the building!
Los Angeles Native Joshua Silverstein has been impacting the creative arts scene for some time now. He has enriched this community through many media such as visual art, theater, poetry, and beatboxing. While being a vessel for Jazz, Funk, Blues and Soul, through time Joshua has graciously earned the title as the “hardest working beatboxer in LA”. Joshua’s talents have allowed him to further his travels including Kuwait, where he, alongside Gina Loring and Brandon Coleman, were the first American Hip Hop artists to perform there under the US Embassy. He also performed for 2003’s Panifest which took place in Ghana, West Africa. In 2005 Joshua completed touring for Norman Lear’s “Declare Yourself”, a nonpartisan tour rallying the American people to register and vote.
