I’m still trying to work out the secret to ‘the loop’. It is a whole lot harder than it might seem to find loops that don’t get blunted by their fundamental repetition, and it takes a certain ear to ascertain what grooves sound good to ears outside of the crate-digging archaeologists who first get caught up in them. Frost is one such person, and has released a huge tape of instrumentals full of those gorgeous, dusty loops on Radio Juicy.
