Jazz and soul are my favorite genres after hip-hop and now here comes The Illjazztic One straight out of Michigan, mashing up all elements of the three into one big melting pot and creating a sound that’s not necessarily unique fundamentally but to the ear is totally different.  I have a thing for beattapes and with Hip Hop Jazzadelic I was easily swayed.

The horns and the keys in this hit the right spots and the kicks are not overtly overbearing enough to distort that melancholic jazz flow which makes the title Hip hop Jazzadelic very apt for this EP. This gets addictive if your audible antennas gravitate to sounds like these. The best way to feel this is to lay back, close your eyes and zone out.

Give it a listen.
