Jamaican emcee Five Steez may not be too familiar but he made his first appearance on WIB sometime last year via Nomadic Wax. Fast forward to 2014 and the man is set to drop a new EP called These Kingston Times with ‘Deadly’ the leading single. On this cut, we get a taste of the old and the new, a fusion of  80s Dub and boom bap courtesy of DJ Crooks. Five Steez’s handling of the mic is fresh as he sticks to the beat like tyres to asphalt.

This is dopeness live from Jamaica. Listen up!!!

‘Deadly’ is the first single from the forthcoming Five Steez digital EP, ‘These Kingston Times’. The track, produced by DJ Crooks, features a classic Hip Hop breakbeat mixed with a vintage Reggae sound and a signature Dancehall chant. Equipped with sharp verses as well as a hypnotic hook and bridge, Five Steez makes this one a sure crowd pleaser.
