Between Kev Brown‘s lo-fi acoustic grooves and Raw Poetic‘s high-speed rhymes, there is a synergy being realised.  Come spring, the two will release their collaborative LP Concentrated Manoeuvres on Redefinition Records.

Plundering dusty crates for sample snippets is the bread-and-butter of most Hip-Hop producers, but few reconstitute them into something as effortlessly intuitive as Kev Brown. This signature loose style of beat-making is as naturalistic as ever on ‘Think Much’ (below), harmonising well with Raw Poetic’s streaming narrative raps.  The approach, or concentrated manoeuvres if you will, is much the same on ‘Super’, albeit much sparser, and with horse heads – check out the video (right).

Concentrated Manoeuvres  will be out soon on vinyl, CD, and digital, and will feature an interview with the duo conducted by Damu The Fudgemunk interspersed as track interludes. Stay up to date via Redefinition Records.
