Normally SXSW is a place for celebrating talent and music, but tragic news emerged this morning about an incident that left two dead and twenty-three injured. According to reports, a driver under the influence was fleeing police as he smashed through barricades in to crowds of people leaving venues and queueing up to see Tyler, The Creator for two blocks, before hitting two people on a moped who died at the scene. An eyewitness said the car could have been travelling at 70 mph as it hit the crowd, followed by police vehicles and a helicopter.

Word Is Bond extends its deepest condolences to the families of those who died, and wishes a swift recovery for the injured. Hopefully SXSW can recover from this and unite… But sometimes the thoughtlessness of some people in this world is incomprehensible.
