Brooklynite Mic Handz sets it off with the visuals for his anthemic cut ‘Bright Lights‘ with assistance from legendary spitter Jaz-O, who also produced the track in question. Both emcees get busy from the jump with Mic Handz’s gruff delivery complimented by Jaz-O’s laid back flow. The song is off Mic Handz’s upcoming album Killing The Game which will be out sometime in April.

Is New York facing an identity crisis? While other emcees are quick to point out their views on the NY scene and it’s cooled off status, Mic Handz and Jaz-O come bearing hope and are keen on bringing the heat back to the coast that birthed the genre. “Bright Lights,” with it’s inescapable head nodding, frantic piano direction and rugged rhymes from the aforementioned emcees, is the anthem for those who live and die for their home. From the Donald Robinson Cole directed video, which harnesses a nice contrast from light and dark to the almost mentor/mentee relationship between the legendary Jaz and the always dope Mic Handz, the song is bound to ignite the streets. “Bright Lights” will be featured on Handz’ forthcoming album Killing The Game, which is set to be released in the beginning of April.
