In a recent interview with HipHopDX, Buckshot expressed his shock when he heard that Emimem chose to do a remix of the original song, I Got Cha Opin’ from Black Moon‘s 1993 album Enta Da Stage. The track Don’t Front is a hidden bonus track when fans purchase both the Marshall Mathers LP 2 and Call Of Duty: Ghosts – which is out today.

The track that Eminem used to remake the song was the original that appeared on the album – not the critically acclaimed remix that was released commercially. Read the full story here.

“It didn’t really matter which version he wanted to do,” says Buckshot. “I was just happy that he gave consideration to any one of them. He decided to do the original. When I got to the studio, I could totally, totally see why now. What he did to that record, it took me 10 minutes probably to pick my mouth up. I was so in shock for a minute. I was like, ‘What the hell?’”

According to Buckshot, he didn’t know what to think when he first learned of the song. “In your head, you kind of don’t think anything,” Buckshot says. “You’re just happy that a person wanted to do the record. It was more of a shock than anything. You don’t have stuff like that in your mind, like, ‘Someone’s going to do my record over.’ That’s not something [I think about].”
